Recently released by Analogue Productions, pressed at QRP on 45 rpm vinyl. One Audiobeat reviewer says it uses the same mastering as the Classic Records 45 rpm.

Does anyone know if this is accurate? I have the Classic Records 45 rpm and the dead wax is different from the AP 45 rpm. I have not heard the AP 45 rpm, someone just posted the deadwax from it on another forum. The Classic 45 rpm sounds amazing and is one of my favorite Bernie Grundman masterings.

That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

The deadwax space is the same on Side 1 and 2 of my Classic and AP reissue. The matrix on side one of the Classic is CS-8192-A1-45; the AP has the same and inside of it reads APJ-8192-45 A. So the two reissues are different and don't see how or why AP would cut from an old lacquer???? Maybe he meant from the same 3 track mixdown as the original reissue?

Thanks Myles. Have you listened to both reissues?

I noticed the AP 45 rpm has the APJ matrix tagged on to it as well. My assumption was the lacquers would be destroyed after creating metal parts.

Yes but haven't compared them. I also have a 15 ips tape safety of the recording too for comparison :)

Mine too.

slightly off-track (pardon pun!)...but has anyone compared the APO CD/SACD remaster to the Time Out K2 version?

I have both, can't decide which one I like better. Perhaps it's a tie.

I'm going to give them a listen today. Got too caught up with Lonnie Johnson, Otis Span, Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson and Stacy Kent last night.
