A note, I make no definitive judgements at shows -- below are impressions -- though assume that if something can sound good in less than ideal circumstances, it'll work in your home.
Above is the Devore Fidelity Orangutan 096. $12K. 10" midwoof/1" tweeter. Natural sounding with the ease and liveliness you might expect from a high efficiency (96db) design. I like the concept and physical execution. In front of it was a Well Tempered Amadeus TT w/EMT cart and a Leben integrated. Note the placement in the tiered Venetian room -- instead against the glass wall where I took the picture from which is where 99% of the speakers in these style rooms were, Devore flopped the setup and sofa, so there was no glass wall immediately behind. Smart.
