Hi all

I have a Sony Walkman NWZA-15 A, bought in England that has a European Union regulations volume limiter. It's not loud enough!

Does anyone know how to override the volume limit?

Thanks

Freddy

I am suspecting the issue is the impedance of your headphones

I wonder what set of headphones or impedance this unit was tested with?

Have you tried different headphones?

Hi

It's not the headphones, in the European Union, many audio products have a built in volume limiter so as to avoid hearing damage. The government feels that it's its role to tell citizens how loud they can listen to their music.

Apparently this is a common problem

Try resetting the device

Also there should be a menu in settings to override the volume limiter at 30

This problem can't be solved in the normal way, setting, resetting or adjusting the device ordinarily. What's required is a non-standard workaround that someone 'in the know' will be able to advise of. But thanks anyway.
