Breaking Bad The Movie

Not sure I'm up for more BB! Great show but so brutal.

Well it's by Netflix so that gives it a minor amount of hope given that it isn't a typical hollywood pathetic slime attempt to monetize the past over and over and over. But I have extremely low expectations.

Has Jesse gotten a sex change and become a lesbian so he can keep cooking? That would be a Netflix happy ending.

Low budget baby. Gonna be awful.

I had low expectations of the whole show as my friend brought it up on his tv.

And then he pressed PLAY.

In 30s, I was mesmerised. That first episode, amongst the greatest in tv history, maybe the greatest opener ever.

Please don't let us down w this.

Breaking Bad was arguably one of the best TV series ever produced. We're actually watching it a second time during the summer NetFlix bluray drought. "Saul" is a real piece of work, I had not remembered just how sleezey he really was.

"Better Call Saul" actually gives him some degree of humanity, as you can understand (kind of) some of the forces that drove him. I think the show is very well written and acted.

I was never really intrigued by the Jesse Pinkman character in Breaking Bad. I thought the "Gus" character was much more interesting.

Len, one of the joys of BB was every character being fleshed out. Noone was shortchanged. It may have been Walt's show, but the show would have amounted to a lot less had everyone else been written for at a lesser level, or the actors didn't give 110%. I actually can't think of any other show where this is true to anywhere near the same extent. And for this reason amongst many others, BB is fast rising to the top of my most favourite tv shows ever.

Crazy to think some actors turned down the rôle of Walter. They must look at the show and what they missed and wonder...

Bryan Cranston has often gone on record to say this was not just the part of a lifetime, but of many lifetimes. We are truly blessed he took the part. His relationship w his pants sealed it for me.

Just when I thought BB MUST have exhausted it's wormholes of dumb luck and improvised genius from Walter White, they came up with the improvised super magnet episode in the truck driven up outside to erase the hard drives in the evidence lock ups. I'll never forget the expressions inside the station as all the metal stuff started migrating toward the wall where the truck was parked.

Black humour so black it emits less light than a black hole.

I've been telling my Ra we need to watch this (me, second time, her, blessed first time). If she hates it, we're splitting.

Love is always fleeting. A good long TV series can last a lifetime
