Can't wait, same team and actors means same quality. Enjoyed Season 7 very much!
I'm trying to just watch 2 episodes a night but the story is so compelling that I'm watching 3. One of the best shows available.

We binged and blew through the final season in three nights. Just great stuff and I was not disappointed with any of it--except the season was too short!

I loved the season but was a bit disappointed with the finale. They didn’t touch on what happened to the mayor. Did she and the chief of police go down as a result of Bosch leaking what they were up to to the reporter? They could have tied up all of the plot lines they developed a little bit tighter and more completely, particularly as this was the series finale.

Think all this will be covered in the spin-off.

Do you think it will? Is Lance Reddick part of the spin-off? It could get a mention in the spin-off but I don’t think the spin-off will be covering city politics and such. I expect it to be more of a crime and law show.

Of course it will, otherwise it makes no sense that the last thing of the last episode we saw was the women telling him that the final thing she needed before she could hand out his PI license was the FBI's approval but seen as he just fucked up a mayor FBI bust, the whole FBI/Mayor/Police Chief story will be an integral part of the first series of the spin-off for sure.

I think that was a tongue-in-check moment. He has to get his PI license otherwise there is no spin-off so there is no drama there.

I wouldn't be surprised if the spin-off fast forwards at least a year. The last season was 2019 (probably to avoid the pandemic). The spin-off could be 2021 or later.
