What is up with these Blue Note vinyl reissues done by Ron McMaster? Seen them online touted as audiophile editions and are digital transfers done on premium quality vinyl using DMM. Are they J-O-K-I-N-G? An April Fools joke gone awry?

I have never seen these before. I'll stick with the labels I already mentioned...analog mastered.

I hadn't either 'til now.

Hard to go wrong with the labels you mentioned! ;) You can add in some Audio Fidelity (done by Steve Hoffman), MOFI (doing some great stuff such as the Dylan, Dead and Stevie Wonder releases!) and Speakers Corner reissues. Most others are a crapshoot and waste of money (at least sonically).
