Here is a musician some people may not be familiar with - organist Big John Patton. It took me a while to get into organ jazz. My transition went from Larry Young to pre-1957 Jimmy Smith to John Patton. Patton made both slower bluesy and upbeat funky albums for Blue Note.

Some great songs linked below, unfortunately most of his best songs are not on Youtube. Spotify has Got A Good Thing Goin' which might be my favorite album.

There is a 45 rpm reissue of Along Came John by Analogue Productions. Still in print and sounds fantastic!
