Ben Harper-white lies for dark times

The Freebird thing is an insult. Wasn't it on a Joni Mitchell album (Miles of Aisles) that she went off on somebody for yelling it?
I was at a show a couple years ago when somebody did that. The performer-Sarah Borges- stopped everything, and ripped into the person, explaining that it was an insult.
I gave her credit for that. She's also terrific, don't know if you've ever heard her- professionally trained singer/actress, who leads a psycho-billy band- great voice, great stage presence. She's out of Boston, but used to be on the road quite a bit.

Ah, I think she's taking it a bit seriously. What was once an insult is now just a standard joke. Professionally-trained psycho-billy? I'll have to check that out.

Haven't heard her in a while. just went to her site, she has now changed directions, dumped the band, says no more punk influenced americana, haven't heard her latest. I'm a big fan of her past work and she's great with an audience.
