This thread is going well, posts towards the end seem to be confirming what I heard that upmixed music on Auro sounds excellent. Essentially ambience added to 2-ch.

Romy does not change the main stereo channels and just apply dsp (auro 3d) for other channels.
It means it does not have any relation to Dolby or surround system.

I trust Romy The Cat so it seems Auro 3D could be a good option for audio playback
