Active Steering

I have been driving BMW's for many years and my lease is up on my 335i in April. I have decided on a new 335i with M sports package but also thinking about getting the "Active Steering". I have read so many conflicting posts and there isn't a dealer in the area (within 100 miles) that have a car with the active steering to demo, so I am hoping I can get opinions from people that have actually driven the BMW with this feature.

Sorry I can't help. We have a 2010 535i with M package and it is superb. The active steering sounds like a nice feature, but you'd really have to drive it to see. I like doing medium and high-speed chicane-type maneuvers to examine steering response, and did that when we shopped for this car. The parking "assist" would be nice for my wife.

No personal experience but when they first introduced it and even in second gen, i thought all the reviews were negative.

I got my Series 5 2011 with this feature and rides more confortable, and is a joy at high speed.
