Where's that Lottery Win when I really need it! ;)

Fair pricing...

It only shows that analog is a much more solid value than digital! ;) Its devaluation is around 20% - any used digital equipment always carries a devaluation over 50%.

IMHO the price is too high, unless it is considered rare or collectible. Are all Tapeproject tables sold out? As far as I know they only had a limited number of licenses on some tapes and they can not re-issue them.

Yeap, there are some series 1 titles that are just gone, I just got 9 out of 10 titles, series 3 are still in production/delivery stage.

Only $3995 for a J-Corder deck? He must not be doing anything to them but making them pretty...

Do you know whose are gone? It seems I must put them in a safe!

Bruce I've seen one title numbered 232. The licensing agreement may allow for a certain time period as well.

Interesting as Dan has said several times they are only licensed to make 200 copies of each title.

If you add in the options he chose it's actually more. When I last talked with J-Corder the $4k price was just for bringing the deck up to spec and replacing the play head.

I've been seriously thinking about getting into releasing tape but if I can't guarantee sales of 500 pcs. then it's a non-issue. I've run the figures and presented a business plan twice, but with licensing of the more mainstream titles it's a money pit.
