I'm probably a snob coffee drinker. Well, to be more precise, I'm just an Italian who's always drunk coffee the Italian way. Zero interest in frappuccino, mokaccino or caramel coffee.
Just a dense and intense black espresso with a biscuit-colored dense foam on top: and, IMHO, the Nespresso machines fail in this. I tried it several times, and I found it too watery and lacking of aroma intensity.
Any cheap espresso maker, such a DeLonghi and similar, can make a better espresso when using the fine powder (such as from Kimbo, Lavazza or Illy) you buy in bricks. You make a mess and you have to clean, but it's definitely better (if you want the coffee an Italian would like to have).
