A few years ago, I searched this topic for a few friends. Really, I swear, it was not for me. Really.
What's the best home theater receiver? You know, that's the thing with a surround processor and multi-channel amplifier in the same box.
These days, they come with just about any feature you could want; Video processing, plenty of HDMI ports, room correction...and they've worked on keeping the syrup from the eggs so the sound quality on these things has gotten better and better.
Okay, at that time, the usual suspects for any audition of the best receivers had to include;
Denon
Pioneer
Onkyo
At the time I was researching, Onkyo had really leapfrogged the market with a line of receivers that offered all of the desired feathers for such a reasonable price and owners reporting such happiness that it was sort of a no-brainer recommendation.
Still the case?
If you have experience in this segment, what would you recommend to a friend today?
Don't hold back, tell us which one you would recommend most highly if someone were shopping right now and asked you?
