Hey Jack, I think our next project should be is to bring the works of the best Phil. craftsmen to RMAF, easier for us to show these guys what we are talking about. I should ask Joey to send me a sample plinth to find out how his woodworking masterpieces will hold with the much drier air here long term. I could see some shrinking (not warping) on some of the wood casings I brought from the Phils. Would be awesome to showcase Rene, Joey, Trodt and Larry in one room. If only I could dedicate a 2000 sq area in my house for them, I would bring them all here.
Trodt GM70 is currently under evaluation in NY, and to my knowledge, holding out very well against some legendary names. I've demoed mine to some trusted (and very critical) ears, and has impressed them so far. Just waiting to let it play in my friend's Alexandria X2 S2 system, right now - the guys who are familiar with that system and heard my GM70's in my system are predicting it will easily unseat the Sigfrieds. The noise (they call it tube noise) actually almost disappear when the amps are fully warmed up. 60 watts single ended triode power easily throws around my 94 db VR5 Anniversaries.
