"Ever wonder why you can't find a clock that looks more like a 1970s amplifier? If you answered yes to that question, and don't mind throwing down wads of cash for novelty timepieces, then McIntosh's MCLK12 is right up your alley. The makers of high-end audio gear have produced a clock that's in keeping with their classic look and price point -- it costs $2000 and uses blue-lit amp meters to tell the time (hours on the left, minutes on the right)."

When I bought my first IBM PC, IBM was running ads on it with Charlie Chaplin that would show the PC with a vase and a single rose in it. When I got my PC, I also go the vase and single rose and put it next to my PC. It would make me feel so good to look at it :). By the same token, if I had Mac equipment, I would get the clock above for the same reason :) :).

Well, I was going to say something about building an Altair, but was afraid that might date me slightly. Wish I'd kept the PE mag with the picture on the cover...
We couldn't afford an Altair so my brother and built our own 8080 computer. I still have all of my Byte magazines so some place I am sure there are good pictures of both....
