There are several problems with that article, among them that PCM is a string of (usually) just ones and zeros, and I am not sure what DSD is (I am guessing the first two pictures are backwards and DSD is simply a normal Nyquist-rate converter instead of bit-stream). Also, the big difference in impulse amplitude is because of bandlimiting in the front end of the sampler. An impulse only 3 us wide has very high bandwidth relative to audio, btw.
