I'm flattered Bonzo.....I know Halcro, I have studiously gone through many of your old posts on various forums . I know you liked Zyx best on the Grandezza, but what did you think of Zyx on this or the FR 66 especially for classical?
Thanks,
i see you are distributor also for Etsuro,
can you tell us the sound of this cartridge and if you compared with other top cartridges?
Got this exact model the Zebrano Compact and the Pilastro Mk2 Base for use with a 9in Primary Control Reference Arm. I am going to see about getting another Pilastro base and Primary Control new FCL tonearm later next year.

the Pilastro is heavy and cannot move
Paul, well if I swing to the Torqueo/SAEC, then we will DEFINITELY meet LOL
Indeed, any purchase if this system pretty much depends on you being to help me
I'm due a day to Brighton soon, maybe then?
Hi Paul,
I've had good results with the Yamamoto HS-1AS Ebony wood and the Ortofon LS-8000 wood shells on my SAECs....but lately I've discovered the Yamamoto HS-4 Carbon Fiber headshell to be almost unbeatable on most of my arms.....
The new model of Etsuro will be better than the Bordeaux?
That's an attractive turntable. Congratulations. I am curious about the arm tower/pod design. If the tower is free to move anywhere relative to the spindle, why does it have the cantilever section at top? I would think that the system would have less resonance if the arm were directly mounted to a solid, thick plate centered on the top of the tower and not hanging out over the edge as shown in the photo. Perhaps it is to accommodate some cable designs which exit out the bottom of the arm pillar. The cable often introduces issues because of weight and orientation. The photos always look better without the cable.
I have read an opinion that one of the primary requirements for any top turntable is to maintain (hold constant) a pivot to spindle distance in each axis. How heavy is the arm tower and how does it interface with the supporting surface?
