Small world... I just stumbled on this thread now, but I see Ron Party or others didn't make the connection to this old thread. I still keep in touch with the owner, and after a major move/relocation he's moved and his new home is still in construction, along with a new room. As Ron confirmed, the speakers and sale are for real.
I have not heard the latest, active version, but even the original form pictured above was highly impressive. They really enjoy a good deal of space from the walls, but when set up well, they are really special.
Knowing how audiophiles operate in this end of the market, he probably should have just listed $199,000. Most anyone looking at an even slightly used product at this level is going to haggle, so might as well start as high as possible.
