Just incredible. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome pics, thanks for taking the time to take the pics along with sharing with us who aren't there attending.

Great Pics Jazz--luv to see some rooms completed --in your own time!

Thank you again,

Is the Western Electric Silbatone's exhibit?

Mike , met Nev and Zarir . I will have to make the trek to Seattle soon, with your kind permission of course . Have been told INCREDIBLE things about your lair !!!

Is the Western Electric Silbatone's exhibit?
Yes Correct

The deeper I get into audio the more I appreciate that stuff, and I truly believe that some of it will never be exceeded by modern offerings. My only problem with it is its astronomical price of admission. Silbatone scarfed up much of the good stuff, which makes some of it literally unobtainable at any price.

I suppose some things in life have to be reserved for the billionaires!

You're right Win, it's a lost art, neither the engineers nor the makers remain. I started bringing in high end vintage speakers and tables since way back in the late 90's and did a number of shows to raise awareness here until around 2004. Then the Koreans entered the market and started gobbling it all up. Even now that good examples are harder to find than ever the prices while higher than before are still very low compared to many modern speakers. Looking at so many ridiculous designs priced in the clouds even the rarest and most expensive vintage speakers are far better value and investment and the majority of the best veritable bargains!

Win,

If you want to start amassing a war chest for an assault on some WE gear I know where your LC-1's can find a home. :)

Beau

PS if anyone has some of this lying around I will come by and pick it up

Beau,

Do you fantasize a lot? :D

DDK,

One would think that field coil speakers would be the rage of the mainstream. After all, they are the speaker equivalent of the moving coil cartridge.

A picture tells a thousand words...
Thanks for posting -- excellent :D
