Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Hi RepofTexas and friends! Received my Teradak TS212 and also quite recently got in the Cisco 2960G switch along with a Cisco fibre optic cable Also had Spectrum out and relocated the modem + router by the system, which elevated system performance significantly, as I thought it would. Until...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

JPWelcher, thanks. Okay I think i understand the chain. Immediately following the ethernet filter, an ethernet cable feeds into a Eth to FO converter, which carries the signal via FO out to a FO to Eth converter where the ethernet cable out feeds the streamer?

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Hi Kingrex, on the back of my powerplant re-generator / conditioner are ethernet ports (in and out). I was initially considering pulling the conditioner out and rewiring ethernet to go through the filtering of the Powerplant.

SBNX l, thanks for the link. Roy Gregory is always a brilliant read. And I think of those three options I would start with the first.

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Tom, thanks much for your warm welcome. Good of you indeed. Okay, in referring to redundant connections, that does make sense. Unnecessary / additional wires in the signal path are something I should avoid, so I will put aside the idea of routing ethernet cable in and out of the conditioner, as...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Thanks much for the welcome Republicoftexas69. That’s a pretty remarkable setup. Just briefly logged on to Kam Audio’s site for a glance at the Teradak T-S212. Affordable which is great. Looks well built too. Does this device convert ethernet to fibre optic? I see it has a re-clocker. And if I...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Good day folks. Its become another rainy day here in OC California. This topic concerns the possibility of using the inputs for ethernet on power conditioners such as the Powerplant Premiere as a solution to eliminate unwanted noise. If I understand correctly, this is what the EtherRegen does...

JOO7B, do you prefer the sound of the DAC in the Aavik to the Lumin U1's internal DAC?

Best Solution to connect for streaming Online music via Qobuz

Jerry, thanks for the response. Your system network setup is similar to mine, with the important exception of the Ether Regen switch. I think I will get that modem setup moved upstairs. Just a matter of getting Spectrum out to run wiring to the room upstairs with the hi-fi. The fact you've tried...

Got it thanks! The power supply certainly makes a real difference. I’m sure your hi-fi sounds great. It never ceases to amaze me how little things can make a meaningful difference to bring one closer to the musical performance.

Thanks for the welcome J007B. That Lumin is a nice component. So, if I am correct you are using the Lumin’s internal DAC? I have not set up a NAS,but I REALLY would like to. I have a Tascam DV-RA1000HD and at least 700+ CDs which I would love to have available on drive. I am digesting this...
