I discovered three really great artists from last week's episode of
Later With Jools Holland.

Kristina Train:
Kinda reminded me of a female Chris Isaak

Polica:
Brooding electro pop, kinda like early Blondie and Bjork

Al-J:
Alternative, quirky English group..sort of Taking Heads meets Peter Gabriel..strange.

Bought all three CDs.

:cool::D

I liked the Alt-J performance, as well. My distributor first showed their LP release a few months ago, but AFAIK there is no USDM pressing. A shame. I'd love to pick up the LP.

The LP seems to be available here from the Warner Bros store.

I was actually hoping for FLAC downloads..aren't CD supposed to be dead...LOL.

I wonder if they actually have it? The release date is the same as my distributor cited, but they (the distributor) have no LPs available. Neither does Amazon, and its associated vendors, or Ebay. I might try ordering a copy, anyway.

Was searching for something else and landed on this thread. It cost me two albums! :D Bought the Al-J on HD Tracks (http://www.hdtracks.com/an-awesome-wave) and the Polica on Amazon. The latter was so expensive: $28 including tax! The 96 Khz download of Al-J was just "$21."

I have to go on bread and water for the next two days to pay this back. :D

Amir! Dear Lord. How did you spend 28 on the Polica? I see both their albums on amazon for under 12. Also..no coupon for HDT!??? I never pay retail.

I'm all over Jacco Garnder and Dead Weather.

Not to toot my own horn, but i posted about Leon Bridges 6 months ago when he just had a single. I got the 24/96 download
and it is simply remarkable.

This is really strange. I can't find my order on Amazon and the only prices I see are as you say! Gosh I must be going crazy :). Anyway, it is all good I can save some money.

I used up the coupon we had for WBF. Hadn't gone searching for them. I guess I should do that. I must have spent $500 this week alone there.

Ok good!

the HDTRacks news letter is the best source of coupons. I don't think I have made a single purchase this year without a 20% off coupon.

Also check findhdmusic.com. They list the discounts available every week.

Check out Ryley Walker.

Thanks! I requested cancellation. It was being "prepared to be shipped." Let's see if it goes through.

Alt-J order was still sitting in HDTracks cart. So I can dismiss that one easily.

Good man! I am all for music consumption, but there is no reason for these vendors to make more than they should.

First single from the upcoming Deerhunter LP sounds great...

This one somehow brings to mind Dave Matthews for me...
