For those interested, I snapped a few pics of my new baby...2014 458 in Nero Daytona. I don't miss the Porsche one bit. So much more feedback and fun with this car.

Spectacular!!

Christian are front plates not a requirement where you live?

They are but I take my chances. I have a front plate tow hook mount
ready to go if I get pulled over in the front trunk...it takes less than a minute to put on in front of the officer if necessary. I just tell the cop my car was just detailed and I forgot to put it on. Front plate laws are stupid...even motorcycles aren't required to have front plates in NY.

That is one of the best looking performance cars I have ever seen. Congratulations!

I agree. I replaced my front plate with the same tag number but on a Euro plate. Waiting to get pulled over. 5 months and no stops

A real gorgeous car Christian, enjoy it! You just have to make sure that the cop pulling you over isn't an audiophile and WTB member!

Sweet! I love black even if it gets hot during the summer. How about some some interior shots? What sort of sound system does the Ferrari come with? :)

Are you going to drive your baby on the road or mostly on the track?

Congrats, it look like it's going fast when it's standing still.

If I had a Ferrari I think I'd never use the sound system. I'd just look for lots and lots of tunnels! LOL!

Nic car. Glad you are enjoying it. Ready to upgrade yet!! ;)

I bought the 458 because it's the last high displacement naturally aspirated Ferrari engine. The 488 and all subsequent Ferrari's starting on MY2016 will be turbo charged and or hybrid tech. The 488 while 100hp more has lost the sound and soul of the 458.

Have you had a chance to drive one yet? I'm looking forward to comparing, the few video's I have viewed like above looks like there may be some serious gains - only time will tell and a personal thing - owning either is a pleasure!

No doubt it will be faster, but the sound and visceral feel will not be the same, nor will the freely revving throttle response climb and fall as a result of turbo spooling resistance. The looks are not as good either compared to the 458, imo. The 458 is the most beautifully designed modern era Ferrari...again imho.
