JACK IS BACK!

This afternoon we had such a wonderful session welcoming back Jack's Room. :D Time flew so fast 4 hours was just like minutes. Music was flowing over and over, and we got a first glimpse of the Tech Das Coi cartridge. Beautifully made and sounding beautiful as well. Great to see your room back, Jack. As the saying goes, you cannot put a good room (and good man) down. :) You're one of those I know that needs a badge that says "No Music No Life". Welcome back, and we're glad that you are back so we can go back to your room specially with the VR 11s are carted in. :D

And here are some pictures of Jack's room, in TECHNICOLOR. But it's safe to say his sound is not colored. :D

We need some mind bending every now and then Phil, LOL!

We had a young guest. He's a recording engineer that works on TV commercials by day. Tats is in his twenties and recently got into vinyl after hearing his Dad's recently resurrected vinyl system. Tats said after side one he felt "high". Hahahahaha! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!! He's a good guy. Wide interest in music and musical history, not just today's pulse. Sharp ears too. I hope we see more of him and more like him.

We'd have to go to Jim's for that. All I have is a plain jane copy (LP). Phil told me that Nimbus came out with it but that these are eye watering-ly expensive. Hmmmm. I am tempted!

That's true Jack. Haha

Nice to meet our young friend. I can sense his exuberance in music. Indeed we should have more of people like him.

Stunning, just stunning. I'm very happy for you Jack! And I know I'm also happy for your friends that get to experience the system in all its glory. Which pressing of WISH YOU WERE HERE did you have making that beautiiful TechDAS sing?

:D

I was thinking about this Phil, I'm in my system monitoring phase :) Whenever I build a system up I always go for very neutral so it's easier to hear if there's something in the chain that might be misbehaving. If I contour too early, I might be putting band aids on problems instead of addressing root causes. At this point in time it seems everything is firing on all cylinders so I'll give it a few more weeks. When I get comfortable, I'll eventually start pulling out recordings that maybe aren't that great but I love anyway. That's when I start making the presentation just that little bit more forgiving. Not too much, just a bit ;) :D

And that's a very sound approach, Jack.

Maybe Phil, maybe, It's a masochistic one for sure. Definitely not for everybody. :D
