Like most things in audio with our systems, it is all about what works "better" in our systems for each of us. Since he's had both there, he's chosen the one that integrates in his system as setup. That could be different in a different setup...

All I know is that I heard his speakers and most of his electronics at RMAF 2013 and was blown away.

Sounds different Mark. one class A tubes, one class A SS. I am inclined to stick with SS for power amps. I am seriously considering Purity Audio's ultra series for my next pre...or the XS Pass pre.
 
mep, I have both solid state and tubed chains at the moment. I love both dearly but am forced to part with one for financial reasons and have chosen to keep the solid state.
