Just got in six more records this afternoon.

John Coltrane's Giant Steps on Atlantic (45 rpm remaster)
Dire Straits Communique and Making Movies (remasters)
Rickie Lee Jones Pop Pop (remaster)
Clifford Brown Memorial Albums (45 rpm remaster MMJ, mono)
Larry Young Unity (45 rpm MMJ remaster)

That'll keep me busy this weekend.

I have a few that came in a few weeks ago.

1. The Mysterious World of Bernard Herrmann - Decca PFS 4337
2. Ry Cooder: OST Paris, Texas
3. Shelly Manne: The Manne We Love - Toshiba Direct Disc
4. The Gospel According To Don Shirley - CBS 360 Stereo
5. Jim Brock: Letters from the Equator (RR)

Very recently, Patricia Barber's 'Modern Cool' by Music Direct under license from Premonition Records. I noticed my first PB album, 'Cafe Blue' did not have the tag Music Direct in the label. I wonder if the MD can be called a second pressing of sorts. Anyhow, this Modern Cool album is a beautiful album with awesome sonics.

Myles ,what do you think about the "Communique"?Hugely underated in my opinion!
The B side is unbeliavable!

Karrin Allyson's "In Blue". 2 LP set on blue vinyl by Pure Audiophile Records/Concord.

Decca Headline 11 - Gerhard's Astrological Series, London Sinfonietta. Stunning recording.

Dexter Gordon - One Flight Up - Cisco/Blue Note - OUTSTANDING!

Elton John's Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy just arrived the other day. This an original 1975 London James House DJM 22094 pressing in like new condition that I acquired for 2 quid 50 from ebayuk. Unlike the US MCA Universal pressing this version is not a gatefold and is sonically superior to the 1975 MCA pressing in every way. A real treat for me as Captain Fantastic personally rates as my most favorite EJ release.

I got a used vinyl copy of Mile Davis' "Tutu"...Really gr8. Heard it first at cjfrbw's.

Waiting for the 45rpm version of Gladiator to make its appearance.

My wife surprised me yesterday with several albums she picked up at the local book store. While used they are all mint without a scratch in the bunch. I never knew my wife played so close attention when I checked out vinyl. She did a fantastic job on her first used vinyl buy.

Doobie Brothers -
The Captain and Me
Stampede
Takin' it to the streets
Livin on the fault line

and Supertramp Breakfast in America (one of my all time favorites)

Two of my favorites are there with Doobie bothers and Supertramp Breakfast in America. I used to have the LP version of the latter when it came out. Sadly I no longer do and had to buy the CD again.

Universal's Back To Black reissues should still be available. Check out the where to buy online link.

Look forward to giving it a spin tonight.

John-I believe that Amir previously stated that he won't spin vinyl anymore.
