I was a bit surprised that W-T-F was not a true comedy and was better for it. Humor was always there but interspersed with serious moments depicting the craziness of Kabul at night after a adrenaline rushed day covering Marines in the field. Fay's character takes some time getting used to her assignment in a war zone but slowly gains the confidence of the Marines around her. What was supposed to be a short assignment turns into years as "danger and the next big story becomes a drug".
I guess most movies become predictable at times as does W-T-F but we both found it very enjoyable. B+
