About researchers,Humphrey Osmond and Hoffer.(Easily confused with Austin Osman Spare - he of Carnaby-hipcat-crowd acid blotter -and the Swiss chemist , Albert Hofmann, who first synthesized LSD.)
Osmond coined the word "psychedelic" and administered Huxley his first dose of mescaline.
How they set out to prove that shizophrenia was caused by adrenalin imbalance and an intermediary chemical between mescaline (peyote) and the chemically-similar adrenalin.
