Yes. Like the router, both can be used as a roon endpoint.

The architecture has me intrigued. Curious about a few things:

1. What is the functional difference between the Bridge Basic and WSmartHub 3.0?
-- They both seem to have a battery operated switch
-- One has an LPS built in, the other does not. Is that the only difference?
-- What does "digital-digital processing" mean in an Ethernet-only environment? Is it essentially an audiophile switch?

2. If my DAC has a USB input, what is the difference between the Bridge Standard and the WSmartHub 3.0?
-- Are the renderers in both products identical?

3. For someone who does not use Roon, is the rendering part useless? Is this not a streamer?
-- Some, like me, prefer using a server-less system using Tidal Connect or Spotify Connect (in anticipation of their CD quality service)
-- Will the renderer ever be able to use either of these protocols (or are we limited to Airplay)?

4. If the Bridge has a built-in LPS, what is the advantage to having an Ext power jack?
-- Is there a compatible LPS sold by Waversa?

I currently use a dCS Network Bridge, but am having some trouble using it with my Chord M Scaler. The dCS always outputs a "black" signal over SPDIF (its only output), thereby preventing the M Scaler from automatically switching to another input. I'm researching other streaming solutions and prefer not to have a full-size component like an Aries G2.1 or Aqua LinQ. A friend has the WStreamer, whose build (and sound) quality I was impressed by, bringing Waversa into my shortlist... IF a compatible product exists!

Here are some answers comparing the SmartHub 3.0 to the Bridge Basic.

1. WBridge Basic has a lot of audio processing capabilities and offers WNDR transportation function. WNDR is a Waversa proprietary protocol that replaces DLNA. A WNDR Transport Setting of '1' is effectively buffer-less. Both models feature toroid LPS and battery system. The bridge features the most advanced Waversa Audio Processor - in-house design with unique interpolation.

2. Bridge Standard has more audio processing capabilities, better filtering, and clock. The renderer (ROON Endpoint) features more advanced hardware.

3. Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon are all proprietary protocols for each application. Waversa only supports Roon currently.

4. Ext Power is designed for to-be-released cleaner Waversa battery power supply. No advantage to using a LPS. Waversa manufactures a high current power supply with two umbilicals each that can be digitally adjusted by 0.1V from 5V to 24V. Up to 6 Amps or with a special power brick - 10 Amps.

Thanks! Looks like a terrific product, but this particular point breaks my use case (for now at least). I will keep tabs on the development, however. Neat industrial design and technical implementation! Love the battery bank concept.

I am currently checking the USB to AES converters and was wondering if this can be the world leader ?
Will that work with Taiko extreme server ?
What kind of usb chip is used ?
Is it any of the xmos ?
Is the installation of the softwere needed for Windows?

-- Waversa has a huge recognition throughout Asia and in the UK
Will that work with Taiko extreme server ? No evidence it would not work.
What kind of usb chip is used ? - Waversa made in-house chip. Due to chip shortages, they expanded their own manufacturing.
Is it any of the xmos ? No.
Is the installation of the software needed for Windows? No.
