They are really in poor condition, one of the Seas midrange is damaged, a lot of distortion when you listen to normal or high level, so actually i can only listen at low level.
The 2 Magnat sub are broken, the coil are deformed.
There's many scratch & damage everywhere on the all boxes, the 4 M6 module & the B139 Baffle need to be repeint and most of the veener need to be repaired or replaced...
I think that some of the Janszen ESL are dead too...

So I need to restored them, not just a refresh, a real restoration... this is a long time project, but I let you know every step of this restoration whit many pictures.

If someone knows the 18 Magnat reference please ? or if you see 1 or 2 of them for sell... many thanks for your help
Dear Goan.
My name is Fabio. My friend has a Wamm and the ESL dead too.
Did you have success with the restoration of the Janszen ESL? I tried to fix them myself and failed. Sorry for my bad english... The best regards!

Hello Fabio

Finally my ESL haven't big damage so they're running fine.
If you are in Italy and need help about a WAMM you can ask to Valerio from Audio Antiquary, he is specialize in vintage audio gear repairing and has fully restored a WAMM VI 2 years ago.

I've just bought him foam grill and difraction pad because Wilson factory can no longer supply them for the WAMM... I am totally satisfied with the quality of the products I received from him.

And finally I was able to recover the original modules from the previous owner to update my WAMM in series VII.
The sound is more refined and delicate in this VII version. In comparison VI version is a little steeper with less ambient and harmonics.

And definitely I do not use the original WAMM equalizer which removes too much transparency in the system...

To the happy owners of WAMM I strongly recommend to have the diffration pads in perfect condition, it's imperative to have all the nuances that can reproduce these speakers.

For the foam grill personnaly I've just put them on the ESL, I prefer not used them on the midrange/trebble modules and on the bass section.

Dear Valery. I am happy for your achievement. Congratulations! The result was wonderful.
Thank you for advice about the audio-antiques service. I am so far from Italy, I'm from Brazil. The best regards!

Hi

I'm considering trying one of these crossovers in my simple 2-way active magnepan 20.1 setup.

Do you know if the crossover point can be altered on these Wilson GSB units?

I currently use a Sublime audio crossover at 105Hz

TIA

Hi Nuforce

the crossover point can't be modified on this old Wilson unit, the only think you can change is the sub level.
You'll have to see the actual Wilson Activ XO for a stereo use whit adjustable crossover frequency and slope.
