Fantastic news!...thanks for finding this and posting it! Will be very interested to see if they decide to keep a streamlined set of 'basic' home video products, and/or whether they intend to compete for the all out assault. As a fan and owner for over 20 consecutive years, would love to see them include the latter!

With Wilson Thor and new Subsonic, Magico QSub, JL Gotham, Paradigm Sub 2, as well as Funk and Rhythmik, not to mention Seaton Subs and SWARM by Audio Kinesis, it would be great to see what Velodyne can bring to the state of the art.

Steve, thanks for posting.

I've been a customer since the introduction of the ULD and Morgan Hill is a short drive from the coast.
I've had my DD-Plus' for nine years. None of the subs mentioned above even comes close to the Frequency Response and Parameters Screen (Velodyne DD Plus User Interface Manual pages 10-11). Magico offers a decent application but its $$$ and cumbersome by comparison. The JL is still Auto EQ only unless you pop for the CR-1, still no remote or presets. Anthem factory set DSP $$. SVS going in the right direction. The rest are only slightly more flexible than basic phase, crossover, and gain.
I set up all four of my subs when I first purchased my Plus' long before AK. It certainly eliminated my rooms modes. By itself did little in the way of equalization and a conventinal crossover setting made it old school basic. A great low cost solution for those who shy from detailed EQ. Using the Plus as a master took my four subs to a whole other level and in my room easily reduced the need for all four.

Going forward my only concern with the new Velodyne will be the sales and service network here in the US. Thanks again, good news.
