Hi,

Looking for a new cartridge to replace/upgrade a Dynavector XX2, and thinking about The Frog.

Is it a good cartridge and an upgrade on the Dynavector? What is better?

Also, wondered about the Soundsmith Aida, or any other cartridges in that price bracket.

Your signature says SME V so presume that's still the arm (?). What is the phono preamp? Using a SUT?

Both of my cartridge lines are compatible with the arm...but that implies a bias.

Hopefully some more recent VdH Frog users will comment...

The FROG with the SME V is a match made in heaven ... break it in with a downforce of 16 mN for about 200 hours and then reduce it to 13.5 mN , adjust VTA and apply damping incrementally!
