Hello all.

I recently stated looking at bookshelf speakers for my bedroom. I am very impressed with the new KEF LS50 Metas, also thinking about some of the classics from Sonus Faber and Magico, however, my budget could extend up quite away further North than these speakers.
Any opinions on what should be on my shortlist?

Thanks

Joseph Audio Pulsars. An outstanding value for the money.

I can recommend, from personal experience, the stand mounted Von Schweikert Unifield 2. Its latest iteration is the Unifield 2 MkIII.

I’ve been happy with Kii 3 speakers in a similar setting. The ability to adjust the radiation pattern of the bass is particularly valuable in a bookshelf setting.

Would these speakers be going on dedicated stands, or would they be sitting on a shelf of some kind?

Up against the wall, or out in the room somewhat?

Do you have an idea of what ballpark dimensions would be practical?

Is the top priority "best possible sound throughout the room", or "best possible sound in the sweet spot", or "both"?

Would tube-friendliness be of interest?
