Agreed, if you are into CD's, then there are tremedous bargains as companies repackage their back catalogues. Universal (Decca, Philips, Mercury, DG and many others) have been releasing 50 CD box sets for street prices around $60 or less. So a new CD can cost on the order of $1-2 in these sets, often with nice booklets. Warner Classics (old EMI catalogue) Sony (Columbia and RCA) and Brilliant are doing similar sets. Back catalogue CD's are essentially commodities.

I agree with you.

It may be easier to do bargain hunting on redbook CD.

I had bought around 300 CD at 600$ for last 3 months.

Some of them are really good on performance and sound.

Others like Carusso, Furtwangler are for souvenir.

I found most of them sound good enough to enjoy in my system.
