I recently used Acoustic Frontiers (Nyal Mellor) to analyze my listening room acoustics. Since Nyal's business is all the way across the country from me, he sent me a frequency response measuring/recording kit. It was easy to use and last week I received the analysis results via email. The professional fee was reasonable and I found both Nyal and the report instructive and beneficial. The good news for me was my listening room acoustics (Rives Audio) are reasonably effective - my room met the standard for 16 of 21 acoustic design criteria.

The report and subsequent discussion with Nyal also showed there is room for improvement, particularly the front and front side wall acoustics. I'll likely use Acoustic Frontiers further either to pinpoint specific acoustic devices and locations for my existing room, or if current plans materialize to help me design the acoustics for a dedicated listening room.

My thanks to Acoustic Frontiers for the opportunity to improve my music enjoyment.

Nyal is awesome. Unfortunately, there's always room for improvement. :D

The good news is that his recommendations rarely cost more than a fancy power cable and can genuinely improve performance in a measured way. I've worked with Nyal on and off for the last two years and it's been a true learning experience. He's also a part time audiophile exorcist; at least with me. :b
