After being so pleased with the performance of my Spectra Infinity King power cord, I decided to try the Gamma Infinity USB cable. I currently use two different USB cables, one retailing at $1,250, and one retailing at $2,250. I also had in for demo another cable retailing at $3,700.

I am very happy with my current USB cables, and they beat out dozens (literally) of other USB cables I've owned over the years.

In the head to head competitions with these three other USB cables, the Gamma Infinity prevailed, and did so by a comfortable margin.

It improved upon the others in providing more air, greater clarity/transparency, a larger, more well-defined soundstage which is seemingly deeper, wider and taller, while sounding exceptionally natural and realistic. The detail retrieval is incredible.

The factor that really jumps out with the Gamma Infinity is what I'd call "presence". By presence, I mean to refer to the illusion that the performers are literally in your listening space!

Presence to me, goes beyond just being able to identify the placement of the various instruments/singer within the sound stage. You can precisely place them all to a greater degree than other USB cables, but the kicker is, you feel like you can reach out and touch them.

I enjoy watching my dog's ears perk up in some recordings as the singer sounds like they are in the room, and it surprises him, lol, but true.

Finally, I just don't know how to describe it, but, there is just a "magic pixie dust" quality on everything, that just makes this the most realistic/natural sounding USB cable I've ever tried, and it does this by a very noticeable margin of improvement over other USB cables. Analog-like realism with digital but realistic precision?

Long story short, I bought two Gamma Infinity USB cables, one for each system. This cable is just amazing.

It would be helpful to know which other cables it outperformed to help with other peoples decisions....

Stealth Audio T-Select (latest version/revision), Sablon Evo, KBL Hyperprism. Note, KBL has another model above Hyperprism, the Extrema that I wasn't able to try. The KBL is exceptionally good, and I definitely would have bought it, if I hadn't heard the QSA. But ultimately, QSA is just better for me.

I love my Stealth T Select. It's been my favorite up until QSA. I still have a number of other Stealth cables in the systems.

I own both the select T and the DOUBLE Select T. Have you had a change to try that one as well?

Also the Signal Projects USB (Apollon level) is another fantastic USB cable. Slightly different sound than the Stealth.

Hello. I decided to write about my impressions of the USB cable and DC extension. I think it's worth trying. I also had a hard time believing that the change would be so significant.

I started by replacing the Thunder Melody USB (a small, very good Polish company), a little airing, something cleared up a bit. A few days of playing and heating. Oh, it plays so well, but it's a cable 4 times more expensive (on sale). So I was happy, the money will stay, it will be for fuses, which I also plan to update for some time.

Okay, time for the DC extension. I connected it to the 54V power supply, which powers the router, from which other devices in the system are powered via POE. A few days.... and I'm impressed, I'm picking my jaw up off the floor. I've never played like this before, realism, truthfulness, refinement. I really can't stop listening and I'm afraid that it will all fall apart soon. I changed the USB cable to Thunder Melody again and unfortunately now QSA is unbeatable, fuses will have to wait.

There is no need to use dedicated cable burn-in devices for our cables. Simply playing music through the cables for approximately 300 hours will unlock their full potential. During the first 200 hours, you may notice fluctuations in performance, but this is a normal part of the burn-in process.

During our R&D on burn-in devices, we tested their impact not only on our cables but also on various other cable brands. Our findings revealed that some burn-in devices introduce a distinct sound signature across all cables, including our own. While some clients have reported satisfactory results using burn-in devices with our cables, we cannot verify the performance of every device on the market. As a result, we recommend music playback as the preferred burn-in method, as it consistently delivers optimal results.

As mentioned several times, we’re unable to disclose details about our technology. In our research on burn-in devices, we found that the impact of dedicated burn-in devices was consistent across the different cable brands we tested.

How the wire gets treated is their secret sauce. Answering your question might provide insight into that or lead to a lot of negative spin by those eager to disparage them. Better to avoid the minefield altogether.

Hi Blake, thank you for such a good opinion of our Hyperprism USB cable. It is a cheaper cable than the QSA that you prefer, so your opinion is pleasing to me. If you want to try Extrema USB, Fred already has it. He will soon also have Extrema LAN, which has the same performance level. It's really worth a try.
