After many years I retubed my MP-1 mkIII preamp (using as linestage only). I found someone selling NOS RCA (352) for around $20 per and thought I’d take a chance.
The tubes came in white boxes, if anyone knows Of that indicates anything.

I’m getting a scratching sound when changing volume via remote, as well as getting some noise taping on some of tubes. 2 had loosened bases as well, but don’t seem to be microphonic.

I’ve moved tubes around trying to find locations where the microphonics don’t aren’t heard tapping on tubes, to some success.

Any insights appreciated.

Iv never had much luck with NOS Tubes, especially on the MP-1 or MP-3, Any noise or problems in these types of tubes will reveal it self even more. Its easier to stick to modern production stuff.
