Miramar, Florida—March 2011— SIM2, the Italian manufacturer whose high-performance home theater projectors are known worldwide for their pristine video resolution, is well into a yearlong celebration of its 15th anniversary that will be highlighted by the introduction of a series of advanced new projector designs, promotions, and events in key U.S. cities. Leading the way for SIM2 USA is Alberto Fabiano, Executive Vice President, who will embark on a multi-city tour exclusively designed for custom integrators and the design community.

“Over the past year, SIM2 has invested over $5 million dollars to develop, design, and manufacture an evolutionary line of products in our facility in Pordenone, Italy,” said Fabiano. “The new line of home-entertainment products offers the look and feel of luxury. This is consistent with our basic mission that all customers should experience the same reference quality from SIM2, be it in styling, features, service, or support. We are proud to say that SIM2 has been providing home entertainment excellence for 15 years; as we look forward, we are inspired by our past to propel our future.”

The first in a series of high-end home entertainment projectors is the compact Crystal 35 and Crystal 45, which are well suited to a variety of spaces within a home. Their Full HD single-chip DLP design offers bright, crystal-clear, high-resolution images. The stunning new look of the Crystal Series, courtesy renowned industrial designer Giorgio Revoldini, represents a new era in projector design for SIM2. Taking cues from Italian classics, the Crystal Series features bold, straight edges with a contemporary appearance. Both models are offered in glass surfaced white or black. As an elegant alternative to large, flat TVs, the Crystal Series integrates beautifully into any living space while offering whisper-quiet operation.

SIM2: 3D Cinema
In yet another groundbreaking technological feat, SIM2 Multimedia is continuing its quest to develop new 3D solutions with the introduction of a high brightness, three-chip, single-lens projector. The theater-grade C3X LUMIS 3D SOLO, based on the company’s award-winning C3X LUMIS projector, is enhanced with SIM2’s PureMotion 3D active technology. Well suited to large screen home cinema rooms, the C3X LUMIS 3D SOLO is a perfect fit for the avid sports fan, film enthusiast and/or gamer. The SOLO comes standard with four pairs of XPAND 3D powered active glasses. SIM2 is also offering the C3X LUMIS 3D HC, a DCI 3D system for accurate color control designed, among other applications, for postproduction facilities.

“SIM2 is in the privileged position of offering both a single-projector active 3D and dual-projector passive 3D models,” said Fabiano. “Our initiative for home cinema remains clear—we continue to deliver the most advanced solutions our customers can buy, while pushing the boundaries of this exciting technology with advances in innovation that can be afforded only by a manufacturer with an in-house research team of optical, software, and hardware engineers.”

I'm extremely happy with my C3X1080. The advancement that will get me to upgrade would be if Sim2 comes out with an LED projector that can handle a larger screen and delivers on the promise of quality picture as in C3X1080, but with almost unlimited on-off contrast as well as huge ANSI contrast.
