I would like to be able to use the same amplifier and speakers when alternating between different multichannel DACS with balanced connections. By using the Coleman 7.1 SW switch, it looks like this would be possible. However, would there be a significant detriment to sound quality by going from a balanced DAC via an AES/EBU to DB25 cable to the switch and then from the switch to the amplifier with a DB25 to AES/EBU
cable? Would I be defeating the purpose by trying to keep the audio signal balanced as opposed to going unbalanced?

No. Works extremely well.
