My Mr Brier has just arrived from North West Analogue having been rebuilt by Dominic.
I found it in a draw in October with a brocken cantilever. I had completely forgotten about it. It got broken at a party in the late 1980s. I moved to America and put all my gear onto storage for my return in the mid 90s.
32 odd years later......
Very much looking forward to setting it up and hearing it again.
Won't be the same as it has a DHC cantilever and FGS stylus.
Tested at 0.18mV, LC 11.8ohms RC 12ohms.

A friend had a vdH rebuilt Mr.Brier running on a Xerxes and into an Omtec phono stage back in the early ninties. Back then this was quite something and I still have very fond memories of this cartridge. Curious how your version will sound like.

I have only had a couple of hours with it (6 sides) and it is sounding very, very promising. It has been so long since i heard it last that I can't really remember for comparison. But it is the pick of all the cartridges currently in use.
