I wish Lukasz could comment on SE vs Bal soundwise, Most manufacturers will suggest one over the other . Like my amplifier if SE is used it needs to go through another stage to convert to Bal . Is Horizon using op amps to convert or transformers?
Is there a sonic diffrence?

Lampizator DACs (except for the single ended only ones) have always been built truly balanced without op amps or any such gimmicks. Yoda has written previously about the balanced designs for the Pacific, Golden Gate, Big 7, and Atlantic TRP. He would not compromise the design.
I can’t say I’ve read this about the Horizon, but I sincerely doubt he’d ever compromise his work of a lifetime (so far) in such a way.
