Lady Blackbird - Union Chapel

I know several of you folks enjoy Lady Blackbird’s album Black Acid Soul, well you’ve heard nothing until you hear her and the band live. The songs are transformed into bluesier, heavier and extended versions drifting away from the jazz feel of the album. Her rendition of White Rabbit didn’t stray too much from the original but was truly thrilling in its power.

There last night at the Union Chapel, her first UK gig, was a triumph and elicited a standing ovation.
