I will appreciate if experienced Jriver users assist in terms of the best settings for audio playback regarding buffer and memory settings as well as audio output (core vs null etc). I recently got a mac mini as music server connected to XDS1 via USB audio. I initially used itunes via mac midi player output settings and last night got a trial version of Jriver.

Sonus,

Are you using the MSB renderer? I am curious how it sounds relative to the Quad USB2 you have as I wait "patiently" for them to release the same for their Diamond line.

Not yet, i've been told it is not ready yet (buggy software) Vince from MSB promised to send me a demo as soon as it is ready.

The FAMOUS list of "call me in two weeks" list. I have been on that same list for longer than I care to remember. MSB have the best products no one can buy!

How has the Quad USB been working for you?

I didn't know that, interesting...

The Quad USB is great, no issues.

I love my DAC but am trying to decide (when IT becomes available) between the renderer or Quad USB to replace my current USB. Then again, I would love to hear the new Select DAC to see how it sounds compared to what I current have. When I had the Analog for a demo I loved it. I still think it is one of the best "bargains" in that price.
