For those of you that followed Stereomojo.... last Monday, James Darby passed. He had been battling cancer the past couple years.

On July 8, 2019, James Lee Darby, loving husband of Linda Darby, passed away in his home at the age of 67.
James was born on December 25, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Richard and Lucille Darby. He received his Bachelor degree in Music from Morehead State University in 1975.
He married the love of his life Linda G. Darby on April 30,1978 at the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Akron, Ohio.
James was an accomplished musician, concert pianist, and talented organist. He was a child prodigy and began playing the piano at the age of 2. At age 7 he was playing in churches.
James’ musical talents included writer, arranger, publisher, producer, conductor and composer. He performed for numerous professional artists and directed orchestras in the U.S. and abroad. His career included: working in the music department for the Rex Humbard Ministry in Akron, Ohio, Minister of Music for several churches (including McGregor Baptist Church, Fort Myers). After retiring from the Music Ministry, he joined his wife Linda in her Wealth Management and Financial Planning practice until retirement in 2016.
Out of his passion for music James’ hobby was starting Stereomojo, an online high fidelity reviewer website, which he was Owner and Publisher for 14 years. He was an avid music lover. James was known for his faith in God, musical talents, personality and compassionate spirit.
James is survived by his beloved wife Linda and their two Sheltie dogs Shiloh and Missy. sister Sharron Towner (brother-in-law Russell Towner)
nieces ( and their spouses) Tracie Mariner (Ryan Mariner), Dr. Terri Towner Beher (Kevin Beher).
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
A Funeral Service celebrating James’ life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God with Pastor Dan Betzer officiating. Address: 4701 Summerlin Road, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
