It would be an interesting article if we were given enough technical details about the equipment and the process to understand it, as written it is mostly an accumulation of superlatives.

We can however understand that the digital recording was converted to analog and then went through "carefully selected high-end outboard gear" (whatever this means! ) before being digitized and reprocessed digitally, avoiding the compression that was added at the original mastering.
