Just joined this forum, thought I would say high and introduce myself. My name is Tim. I live in Winter Springs Florida. I got started about 6 years ago when I decided to start listening to my records that had lay dormant for several years. After several vintage components I have landed on a more modern system that I really like. I am mostly an analog guy, my main turntable is a SOTA Star with an SME M2-9 arm. The cartridge is a Soundsmith Aida. Phono preamp is a Balanced Audio Technology VK-P5. It was upgraded at the factory with the 6 pak output capacitors and the VK-10 outputs stage. The VK-P5 feeds a BAT VK-3i preamp. It also has a built in phono stage. I have a vintage Pioneer PL-50 plugged into it. Amplification is a BAT VK--200 driving a pair of Infinity RS7 Kappa's. I use a PS Audio Power Plant Premier for AC and a variety of cables which all us PC OCC copper wire. I have a small dedicated listening room but I have gotten the system set up well for the room and it sounds quite nice to me. I have enjoyed my journey so far and look forward to contributing to this forum. Thanks for having me!
