Has anyone heard the Devialet D-Premier Integrated Amp/DAC

Have tried 6.09 approx. 5times. Problems over problems (Blue Screen etc.). Went back to 5.7.3/1.5, they offer on their website. Am happy.
For my music-collection (850 GB in WAV) I do not need a 6.09. Its sound was very good probably a trace better than 5.7.3./1.5 because a trace wider stage. If it gives now a thin bass etc. I guess they have modified 6.09 without telling that or making a new 6.10.

same here. No Problems with the bass in 6.0.9. The precision is better, maybe that makes some speakers sound leaner...
No comparison to the Devialet stuff! I would not replace this awesomeness

It looks like the Wadia is just using off the shelf class D modules and, sure it has a dsd DAC but everything else is meeehhh!
Is this thread covering all the Devialet range?They are all out there now and I haven't seen a flood of Devialet D-Premier used for sale which tells me people are happy with what they got.For those who have picked up the Devialet 170 are there different price deals out there in different countries??

Agree ! Use this combi since 10 days. Must be very careful to close the Devialet Premier first and after it my computer. Otherway round I get always Blue Screens.
The 6.09 software seems ! to give a wider stage, butthe density of music from left to right speaker is not the same. There is a region where the music density is thinner. As a result the density near the speakers is thicker. For my ears this is not the case in reality, it is made by 6.09

Where do you get the Blue Screen, on your D-Premiere or on your PC? Sometimes I get some ticks in the sound! Then I have to restart my D-Premiere. I agree with you that the sound with 6.09 is thin. I think the new firmware is not build for the D-Premiere. Perhaps they have made it for and with the new models, but not for the D-Premiere.

What i meant is: both 5.7 and 6-09 produce the same quantity of signals. But 6.09 dispense the music thinner in the middle area between the speakers and somewhat thicker near the boxes.
If you look at the firmware files you can see that the new firmware gets partitioned so, within one release, there are separate updates foe the D-Premier and the 110 etc.
You don't need to do anything, the update file recognises which product you have.
If you look at the fw_list.txt file in each firmware update you will see that it relates to architecture 01040101 for 5.7.3 (which I assume to be only the D-Premier) and to architectures 01040101 and 01050000 for 6.0.7 to 6.0.9 (which I assume to be the D-Premier and the 110/170/240 respectively).
The only changes within 6.0.7 to 6.0.9 have been to the PSU (110/170/240) and the wifi (D-Premier and 110/170/240). The update from 5.7.3 included IHM, wifi, HDMI and I2S. As far as I can see, 6.0.7 to 6.0.8 was relevant only for the 110/170/240. The only common file which differs between the D-Premier and the 110/170/240 is the PSU file.

I've tried this combination and it is really sounding good, but I have some crackling noise with some CD's, so I have switched back to 6.0.9.
Some on here know that I have strongly recommended Metronome T3a with the Devialet D-Premier in the past (in fact that was my setup).
If you are in the UK and interested in one of these transports I have sold mine to Trevor at Guildford Audio but on the promise he would include the Transparent Ref digital XLR cable I gave as a freebie (sort of a sweetener and yes I am showing a lot of faith in a dealer to do that as it is now technically his
).
Just mentioning because I feel this is one of the best transports for the Devialet gear (hence not mentioning anything else sold), and pretty rare for a Metronome T3a to come up for sale.
