Swisstone LS3P in high gloss black. The LED is the give-away from the passive version.
Another new model from Graham Audio is the powered version of the Swisstone LS3. Continuing the BBC's LS3/5A legacy but making it more user friendly and should be well received by audiophiles looking for a superb desktop system.
With an on-board 50W Class AB amplifier and a linear power supply, it will not need much to complete a stereo system. We ourselves ordered a BlueSound Node 2i (preamp, DAC, streamer) and possibly a pair of stands, depending on how you plan on using these. The prototype had an RCA socket on each speaker for the input, a volume control on each speaker, ideal for setting balance between the two speakers & the listener. There is also a three way switch for adjusting the LED on the front panel, bright, dimmer or off, finally an AC inlet on each speaker. Projected retail is $2,500 and should be shipping in Q4 later this year.
The N.American launch of the LS3P will be at Common Wave in Los Angeles on 17 August (Phone: 213 . 277 . 4434) or INFO@COMMONWAVE.NET for more details.
