“Gomorrah - The Origins” story will recount the rise of mobster Pietro Savastano, the head of the drug-dealing clan that bears his name in the original “Gomorrah” series.

The prequel series is lead-directed by Marco D’Amore, who starred as ruthless central character Ciro Di Marzio in the original “Gomorrah” series.

Launch date: January 2026.

It's being produced by Sky Studios and Cattleya, which is part of ITV Studios, and will be sold internationally by Beta Film, so it will be available on various streaming services I guess.
