In general I agree that Electronica music is not automatically associated with audiophiles.
Classical and Jazz are more the audiophile music genres.
I like some Electronica music myself, and I am not alone in the audiophile society.

Are there some Electronica music albums you would recommend to other audiophiles?

Great thread...just wait til Jack(D201) or Shane (Turntable) weigh in here:

- Most albums by Ame: particularly Rej and anything containing Timbuktu (except the album called Fabric 42...not a fan)
- The Bedouin: Ride into the Unknown or Whispering Words of Wisdom
- Recondite: Placid/On Acid and also Iffy
- Jeremy & Walker: Bedouin
- Tiefschwarz: Chocolate
- Fabric 15: Tyrant (double album)
- Fabric 13: Michael Mayer
- Trentmoller: Chronicles (double album)
- Deadmau5: random album title

I am glad I found this thread as I have recently started listening to more electronica. I have old CD's from Larry Fast Synergy and Jean Michel Jarre Oxygene. I am catching up to current artists and now have two Daft Punk CD's, the Oblivion M83 soundtrack, Yello's Toy disc (lots of low end). I will begin to try some of the music listed here in the thread. Thank you!

Big electronica fan here, a few others:

Marconi Union
The XX
London Grammar (try the track 'Hey Now' on your system, (enormous soundstage) particularly the 24bit version if you can find it)
Blue Tofu ('A Battle Between' is a great track to check out the bass on your system among other things.)
Massive Attack
Postal Service
many more

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Did you notice something very wrong starting @ the 1:38* mark, or is it just me?
All the other songs are fine, only that first one starting @ that spot is extremely problematic, and only that instrument...the trumpet. Other than that high productions value.

* It actually starts @ 0:52

** When monitoring with cans it is the air/breath of the trumpetist in his special trumpet. It sounds distorted.
