saw that today as well. I was astounded that he was still around. one of the prominent figures in 'old' hi-fi and a big 'brand' in his day. I wonder if the tuners under his name still have cachet. they used to be very highly regarded decades ago, i thought.

Sorry to know about H H Scott passing. I knew of the brand when I was still in the teens, and found about his kits in old electronics magazines. At that time two brands of kits populated my imagination - H H Scott and Heathkit. Unhappily they were very expensive in Europe.

It was nice to read about the disc (78 rpm) to disc (33 rpm) transfer - should we call them "direct cut" LPs?
